I really enjoy how this sketch keeps the viewer guessing. Does he have double vision? Double vision and a head injury? Why are all these people around him apparently ignoring his dysfunction? Then it cranks up the weirdness with the pluralizing of the highways and bizarre (and stereotypically British) focus on the exact route while in England , then deflects with a man so locked to a mountain-climbing métier that it and his clumsiness wreck the office... and then the twist. Such a twist.

It’s almost as if his insanity overtakes all of reality.
